Privacy Policy

Odù helps you learn the Yorùbá language. We keep the data we collect to the minimum needed to run your account, save your progress, and process subscriptions — and we never sell it.

01Information we collect

We only collect what the app needs to work for you:

• Account details — your email address and a password (stored securely and hashed — we never see it), and an optional display name. These create and secure your account.
• Learning progress — lessons completed, streak, XP, gems, daily-challenge status and in-app preferences (such as reminder time). This is saved to your account so it follows you across devices.
• Subscription status — whether you have an active “Odù Pro” subscription and related purchase records, provided through Google Play and our billing partner.

What we do not collect: we do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers. Odù contains no ads and no third-party ad tracking.

02How we use your information

• To create your account and sign you in.
• To save and sync your learning progress across your devices.
• To provide and manage your Odù Pro subscription and free trial.
• To send the daily reminder notification, only if you turn it on.
• To keep the app secure and fix problems.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

We use a small number of trusted services to run Odù. They process data only to provide their service to us:

04Data security & retention

Your data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and stored on secured infrastructure. We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, or ask us to delete your data, we remove your personal information from our systems.

05Your rights & choices

• Access or correct your account information from within the app’s Profile.
• Delete your data — email us and we will delete your account and associated personal data.
• Manage your subscription — cancel anytime from the Google Play subscriptions screen or the app’s Profile.
• Notifications — turn the daily reminder on or off in Settings at any time.

06Children

Odù is intended for people aged 13 and older, and it is suitable for family use under a parent’s guidance. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

07Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
